At CrossFit Xenia, we utilize functional movements that make you stronger for your everyday life inside AND outside of the gym, while creating different workouts every day to keep things exciting. The high intensity nature of our CrossFit & Speciality workouts is that it produces the most ideal response for your body–both for your appearance and performance. Our creative and fun programming pulls the best of the best from all fields of athletics: endurance, speed training, kettlebells, gymnastics, Olympic and power weightlifting, etc.!
Our programs provide an encouraging, non-intimidating vibe that makes every member feel they are part of our Community. Everything at CrossFit HomeBase Central can be scaled to your current fitness level–so in a typical class you will see soccer moms next to active military next to high school students. Every person works together to achieve the same goal: constantly improving his or her fitness level.

After many failed attempts, I was finally coerced into trying CrossFit for the first time in 2010. The workout was 3 rounds of 10 Turkish Get-Ups, 20 Push-Ups and 30 air squats. My wife and I found the workout on the internet and thought we’d give it a try….it looked simple enough. We made our half-hearted attempt of completing the workout as best we could. Lying on the floor of our living room, sweating, gassed and out of breath, I knew I was hooked. That feeling that I had during recess in elementary school had returned. The endorphins rushing through my body were my drug of choice and CrossFit provided them in short-order…all I had to do was put in the work. I retired from the Air Force in 2016 and our family decided to make Xenia our permenant home. We believe in the CrossFit Methodology and we are committed to improving the lives of people in our community through CrossFit. Stop in and say hi!
My favorite workout is Disposable Hero –
Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Airman, CrossFitter, Cyclist, Runner, Hiker, Foodie

I am married to my adventure buddy, Chris, and we have 4 amazing kiddos. During my free time, I enjoy finding a way to get outdoors with my husband, going to our kids’ soccer games, playing Catan with friends, and serving in our church.
I did my first CrossFit Workout in 2010 at Wright Patt when CrossFit had just come to the base. I loved the high intensity, the challenge, and I thrived in the competitive environment. I participated in different types of training during the next few years, but always found myself back in a high intensity group environment. After a few military moves and being a member of a couple different CrossFit affiliates, I landed back in Ohio and joined a local box.
After some time, my easy little angel baby turned into a very needy toddler during the WODs, and what was supposed to be the best hour of my day was actually quite nerve-wracking. I had to accept that I was in a season of my life where I needed to step away and find somewhere that could provide childcare. I began working out at the Xenia YMCA and quickly joined their staff as a Certified Personal Trainer. I loved focusing on strength and hypertrophy during that time, but I missed the community and the thrill of pushing myself at a high intensity.
My favorite CrossFit workout is the Hero WOD, Gallant.
I am excited to be part of the amazing coaching staff at CrossFit Xenia where we are building an encouraging community where health is reclaimed, movement becomes medicine, and friends become family.
Health is a blessing; steward it well.

I am a runner turned CrossFit enthusiast. I graduated from Ball State University with an undergrad degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in health and physical education. I was also a member of the cross country and track teams and ran professionally following college. I’ve had a lifelong interest in fitness and love the community in which CrossFit provides. I began my CrossFit journey in 2015 and quickly developed an affinity for the variety, scalability, and overall healthy lifestyle CrossFit provides. The CrossFit community is like no other fitness community I have been involved in. Each member of the gym genuinely wants the best for each other and the camaraderie is unique to the CrossFit experience. As a coach, my goals are to provide both attainable and measurable goals, motivation, and a genuine desire to help each person grow not only physically but mentally and emotionally. Fitness coaching provides us with an opportunity to help our clients and athletes become stronger, fitter, and happier people. I enjoy being part of a team that truly wants the best for each individual. I am an endurance athlete at heart. I’ve run countless marathons, half marathons, and Ironman triathlons. Beyond fitness, I love animals! I was cofounder and CFO of a local animal welfare non-profit for over 15 years before branching out and establishing a local non-profit dedicated to spay and neuter of both owned and stray animals. My favorite CrossFit workout is Murph and I look forward to the event each year. What workout isn’t amazing that both starts and ends with a one-mile run! I look forward to coaching the athletes at CrossFit Xenia and helping each individual work toward and achieve the goals they have set for themselves.

At CrossFit Xenia we provide a higher degree of teaching, coaching and mentoring in a personal community environment aimed to focus on each of our individual members needs. Rather than a more detached leadership “one-size-fits-all” or “unlimited” program, our coaching staff serves in many ways to fully integrate the high degree of varied skill sets necessary to reach your fitness and health goals.
